Ophthalmology Practice
Challenge: This ophthalmology practice, founded in 1985, grew steadily until just a few years ago. Then, increased
competition caused new patients and revenue to level off. Over the past few years, the practice was static - new
patients dropped off, referrals from OD slumped and revenue was flat - despite the fact that they had a marketing
program in place, a dedicated optometric liasion who made sales calls on optometrists, and a substantial increase in
patient-based TV advertising.
Solution: Using the Monopolize Your Marketplace System, they implemented a New Patient Marketing System
(NPMS). This system consisted of several marketing components, each of which directed new patients to their
practice. Our research also uncovered some critical items that were previously ignored. This system was
implemented in February 2004, and the result shown below speak for themselves.
Results: Read below to learn how new patients, OD referrals and revenue all substantially increased through NPMS.
